Waiting for modern love poems
Spring winds start to howl early
But no one will come by the door
Night flows over you, and you're left alone
A bridge falls below
An individual, untouched by sorrow
And waits for the night to bring it
When the wind sways, the clouds dance with them
Acrease of old leaves form into frost on your brow
You wait, alone, without any will
Wait as if you can't change your nature
Your heart is torn from the world's fabric
And she longs for a fall, a man to hold with you
By the spirit of youth
A night full of song and dance
You'll wait, too, for an end that will never come
A promise made in love's kiss
Your heart was torn from the sky
And your soul is lost to the shadows
You're waiting, but it won't be answered
A song you can't tell or feel
Your spirit finds its way into the world
She waits, too, for love that will never come
But she's always young
And this is her story
